RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's hockey team suffered their first loss of the season against WIAC rival UW-Eau Claire Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-EAU CLAIRE
- The Blugolds struck first and maintained the lead the remainder of the game. Hannah Zavoral scored at 7:57 on a pass by Emily Hart.
- Falcon Brooke Walters tied it up 1-1 less than a minute after the Blugolds scored. She was assisted on the play by Callie Hoff and Julia Stelljes.
- The Blugolds took back the lead at 12:18 on a power play opportunity. Abby Roeser scored the power play goal at 12:18 in the first.
- Neither team scored in the second period even though it was the high shot period of the afternoon.
- In the third period, the Blugolds secured the win with their third goal of the afternoon, an unassisted shot by Emma Peterson at 14:48.
- Sami Miller made 18 saves for the Falcons. Blugold goaltender Erin Connolly made 22 saves.

The Falcons travel to Middlebury, VT for the Cardinal/Panther Classic on Nov. 30. The Falcons will face off against No. 1 Plattsburgh State at 3 p.m. est.
