RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's hockey team picked up their third win of the season in a nonconference matchup against St. Marys University. The Falcons defeated the Cardinals 4-1 Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ST. MARYS
- It was the Cardinals that stuck first in the second period at 8:14 on a power play opportunity. Anya Hafiz found the back of the net to give the Cardinals a 1-0 lead.
- Abigail Stow tied it up 1-1 at 16:28 on an unassisted power play goal.
- Maddie McCollins scored her first goal as a Falcon at 18:02 to give the Falcons a 2-1 lead in the second period.
- In the third period, Kora Torkelson scored the Falcons third goal of the afternoon. She was assisted on the goal by Alyson Niebur and Madi Nolan.
- The Cardinals pulled their goalie for an extra shooter leaving the goal open for Erica Schramel to score from center ice.
- The Falcons outshot the Cardinals 40-13. Abigail Stow had eight shots on goal to lead the offense.
- Sami Miller collected her second win of the season in goal with 12 saves.

The Falcons open conference play Friday November 15 at home against the Pointers of UW-Stevens Point. Start of the matchup is set for 7:05 pm at Hunt Arena.
