RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's hockey team gave undefeated Gustavus Adolphus their first loss of the season Wednesday night at Hunt Arena. The No. 7 Falcons defeated the No. 4 Gusties 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST GUSTAVUS ADOLPHUS
- The Falcons struck first scoring a goal at 7:31 in the first period. Maddie McCollins scored her first goal of the season on a pass from Erica Schramel.
- The Gusties tied the game up 1-1 at 14:47 with a power play goal.
- Three minutes into the second period Callie Hoff scored a short hand goal to give the Falcons a 2-1 lead.
- Hailey Herdine secured the Falcon win with an unassisted goal at 13:08 in the second.
- The Falcons outshot the Gusties 35-23. Hoff led the team with six shots and a goal.
- Sami Miller had 22 saves in goal.
