Men's Basketball Loses on the Road to Viterbo

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's basketball team travelled to La Crosse to take on the Viterbo University.  Despite going into halftime leading 29-25, the Falcons were outscored in the second half and fell to the V-Hawks 62-68.

WHAT HAPPENED
  • The Falcons made 11-24 (45.8 percent) field goals in the first half, including 3-14 from behind the arc.  Julian Jackson led the Falcons in the first half with 12 points, hitting 4-4 from the field and 4-5 from the free throw line.
  • UWRF gathered just 6 2nd chance points on the night, all coming in the second half, off 12 offensive rebounds total.
  • The Falcons scored five points off the bench in the first half, eight total for the game.
  • UWRF went into half time with the lead, 29-25.
  • The Falcons shot 38.7 percent from the field in the second half (12-31), hitting just 2-9 from behind the arc.  As a team, they made 7-13 from the free throw line (53.8 percent).
