RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's hockey team suffered their first WIAC loss of the season. The Falcons fell to UW-Superior 2-5 at Hunt Arena Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-SUPERIOR
- Both teams scored a goal in the first period. The Yellowjackets struck first with a goal 35 seconds into the start of the game.
- Josh Arnold tied the game up 1-1 with a goal at 12:03. Peter Karavos assisted on the goal.
- The Yellowjackets scored three goals in the second period. Their first was a power play goal at 2:30 by Jordan Martin.
- Superior scored two more goals to give them a 4-1 lead at the conclusion of the second period.
- The Falcons scored the final goal of the game at 12:13. Cayden Cahill took advantage of a power play opportunity to scored on a pass from Jackson Nauss.
- The game was a high penalty with the two teams combining for 17 total penalties.
