Women's Hockey Bounces Back With 8-0 Win

BLAINE, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's hockey team bounced back from their two recent losses to shut out Bethel University 8-0 Tuesday night. 
 
The offense was led by Hailey Herdine who scored a hat trick in the win.  She scored two goals in the second period and scored the Falcons final goal of the evening. 
 
Madi Nolan got the Falcons on the board first scoring an unassisted goal at 1:32. Alyson Niebur followed with a goal at 6:40.  She was assisted on the goal by Haley Nielsen and Madi NolanKathryn Larson finished out the first period with a power play goal at 13:36.
 
Herdine started out the second period with a goal at 7:08.  Kora Torkelson scored a goal on a pass from Abigail Stow at 10:07.  One minute later, Hailey Herdine scored her second goal.  This time she was assisted by Jessie Anderson.  Anderson scored her own goal at 18:23
 
The Falcons outshot the Royals 41-15.  Sami Miller got the win with 12 saves in her forty minutes of play.  Sydney Carter had two saves in her twenty minutes of play in goal. 
 
The Falcons finish out the regular season at UW-Eau Claire Saturday Feb. 16.  The winner of the matchup will be named the WIAC regular season champion.  Puck drop is 2 p.m.
