RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's hockey team suffered a 3-1 loss to UW-Superior Thursday night at Hunt Arena.
The Falcons loan goal came in the final seconds of the first period when
Charlie Singerhouse found the back of the net. His unassisted goal was a shorthanded goal that tied the game up 1-1 in the first period.
The Yellowjackets broke the tie in the second period scoring two goals to give them the go ahead.
Joe Marcouiller suffered his third loss of the season giving up three goals. He had 19 saves on the night. The Falcons had 37 shots on goal.
Cayden Cahill and
Joel Frazee each had six.
With the loss, the Falcons drop to fourth place in the WIAC standings. They will finish the regular season February 9
th as they travel to UW-Stout. The Blue Devils currently sit 5
th in the conference standings and have yet to win a conference game. Game time will be 7:05 p.m.
