Eau Claire, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls softball continued conference play as they traveled to UW-Eau Claire.

WHAT HAPPENED IN GAME 1

• Kaia Dorn led the game off with a single to left field and was able to reach second on a pop fly play.  She was then caught stealing at third base.
• The Blugolds had their most productive inning of the night in the bottom of the second.  They scored 5 runs on 5 hits, including four singles and a double by Varian. 
• The Falcons responded in the top of the 3^rd inning with back-to-back singles by Noelle Senour and Karina Monson. The runners advanced on a SAC bunt by Rebecca Daley.  Despite the positive start in the inning, the Falcons were unable to capitalize. 
• UWEC added two runs on three hits in the bottom of the third, increasing their lead to 8-0.
• UWRF was unable to get on the board the remainder of the game, and it was finished in 5 innings.
• The Falcons ended with 5 hits on the night.
   
  
  WHAT HAPPENED IN GAME 2

• The second game of the afternoon started out scoreless for both teams until the bottom of the 3^rd inning.  In the first two innings the Falcons only gave up to hits.
• UWEC scored 3 runs on 3 hits in the bottom of the 3^rd inning, including a homerun by Arneson. 
• The balance of the game remained quiet until the Blugolds put one more run up on two hits in the bottom of the 6^th. 
• The Falcons ended with 5 hits for the game, including a double by Monson.
