River Falls, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls softball team split with UW-Stout in Thursday's double-header.

WHAT HAPPENED GAME 1
- Stout had the biggest inning of the night in the top of the 1st, scoring 6 runs on 5 hits, including a double by Kelly, a triple by Daley, and singles by Murphy, Horn, and Christiansen.
- River Falls got on the board in the bottom of the 2nd inning, scoring 1 run on three hits, including a homerun to left field by Lexi Dupee, her second of the season. Ali Krohn and Rebecca Daley each singled in the inning.
- UW-Stout added three more hits in the top of the third inning, but were unable to score, leaving 2 runners on base.
- The Blue Devils added another run in the top of the 4th on three hits.
- The Falcons were able to string together 5 hits and score 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th. cutting Stout's lead to 4.
- Stout scored two more runs in the top of the 6th of a Diedrich homerun, scoring Schobert after a single to right field.
- The Falcons' Kaia Dorn lead off with a homerun in the bottom of the 7th, her 4th of the season, but the Falcons were held at that.
- River Falls ended the game with 4 runs on 12 hits.
WHAT HAPPENED GAME 2
- The Falcons set the tone in the 1st inning, defensively shutting Stout down in three, and offensively, gathering 5 runs on 6 hits, all singles (4 consecutive) by Dorn, Hannah Theobald, Tayler Fall, Dupee, Krohn, and Daley.
- The Falcons added a run in the bottom of the third, extending their lead to 6.
- River Falls almost completely shut the Blue Devils down defensively, allowing only 3 hits in 5 innings of play.
- In the bottom of the 5th, Fall and Dupee each singled, followed up by a "walk-off" double by Krohn, ending the game in 5 innings based on the run rule.
- The Falcons ended with 8 runs on 11 hits.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons will be taking on UW-Platteville at UW-Eau Claire on Friday, April 26. The change in schedule is due to poor forecast on Saturday, April 27.
