Women's Soccer Dominates Northland

ASHLAND, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The Falcons shut out Northland College 4-0 Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST NORTHLAND COLLEGE
  • The Falcons dominated the Lumberjills outshooting them 33-2.  They had 21 shots in the first half and finished the second with 12.
  • In the first half, the Falcons scored twice.
  • Maggie Koehler scored her first goal of the match minutes into the start of the game on a pass she received from Peri Hoff.
  • At the 15th minute of the match, Lexi Peterson found the back of the goal.  She was assisted on the play by Rachel Windingstad and Camryn Altnau.
  • Koehler again scored within the opening minutes of the half this time scoring from a pass by Lexi Peterson at 46:50.
  • Camryn Altnau scored the fourth and final goal for the Falcons at 55:05
  • Alivia Kons recorded her first win of the season in goal.  She had one save, 
 
THE OPPOSITION
  • The Jills recorded two shots in the match.
  • Megan Jordan had 15 saves in goal for the Lumberjills. 
 
LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons improve to 4-1 on the season. They host Hamline University Sunday September 15.  Match is set to begin at 3 p.m.
