RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team fell to UW-Stevens Point in their conference opener 0-3 (17-25, 24-26, 20-25). Despite the loss, the Falcons can take a lot of positives from the game; they played hard and adjusted well throughout the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UWSP
- The Falcons lost to UW-Stevens Point in three games, (17-25, 24-26, 20-25).

- Karli Nielsen led the Falcons with 10 kills and hit .348 in 23 attempts. .
- Dakotah Poitra added 12 kills in 38 attempts, hitting .211 and Mallory Griffin hit .182 with 7 kills in 22 attempts.
- Haley Cuba had 21 assists. She also recorded two aces and four digs.
- Defensively, Hannah Robb and Hannah Striggow led the team with 17 and 12 digs respectively.
- As a team the Falcons finished the match with 54 digs and four aces.
THE OPPOSITION
- As a team, UWSP hit .275.
- They were led by April Gehl with 16 kills.

The Falcons are traveling to Iowa for the Central-Grinnell Invitational on Friday, Sept. 20 where they will take on Bethel University and Wartburg College.
