EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team travelled to Eau Claire for a conference match up against UWEC. The Falcons battled hard, forcing the match to go all five games. Despite the valiant, the Falcons fell 2-3 (26-24, 19-25, 17-25, 28-26, 10-15).
Hannah Striggow reached a career milestone, hitting 1000 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UWEC
- The Falcons forced the match to go five games, ultimately taking the loss (26-24, 19-25, 17-25, 28-26, 10-15).
- Offensively the Falcons hit .141 overall with 48 kills in 185 attempts.
- Katie Koerper led the Falcons with 10 kills and hit .105 in 38 attempts. .
- Karli Nielsen, Dakotah Poitra, and Mallory Griffin all added 9 kills each. Poitra and Griffin also recorded 11 and 14 digs, respectively.
- Hailey Huseth recorded 36 assists in the match.
- Hannah Robb led the team defensively with 18 of the team's 77 digs.
THE OPPOSITION
- As a team, UWEC hit .191.
- They were led by Sarah Kuchcik with 15 kills.
- Defensively, the Blugolds were led by Makenzie Bachmann who recorded 26 digs.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons will travel to Iowa on Friday, Sept. 27 to compete in the Simpson Invitational. Their first game is Friday at 5pm against the College of Saint Benedict.
