INDIANOLA, Iowa (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team travelled to Iowa for the Simpson College Invitational. The Falcons first game of the invite was against College of Saint Benedict. The Falcons fell 1-3 (17-25, 26-24, 16-25, 19-25).

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST CSB
- The Falcons lost the match in four games, 1-3 (17-25, 26-24, 16-25, 19-25).
- Offensively the Falcons hit .119 overall with 47 kills in 168 attempts.
- Karli Nielsen led the Falcons with 11 kills and hit .241 in 29 attempts. .
- Sarah Langlois added 10 kills (23 TA). Dakotah Poitra recorded 9 kills of her own, as well as 23 digs.
- Hailey Huseth recorded 36 of the team's 43 assists in the match.
- Hannah Robb and Poitra led the team defensively with 24 and 23 digs, respectively.
THE OPPOSITION
- As a team, CSB hit .201.
- They were led by Hunter Weiss with 17 kills.
- Defensively, the CSB was led by Mary Wenisch who recorded 19 digs.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons will continue play at the Simpson Invitational on Saturday, Sept 28. The will compete against Principia College and the host team, Simpson College. Game times are 9am and 3pm respectively.
