ST. PAUL, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's hockey team finished the weekend with a second win after beating Bethel 6-3 on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST BETHEL
- Abigail Stow recorded a hat trick in the Falcons 6-3 win. She got the Falcons on the board in the first period scoring a goal at 11:56. Assisting her on the play was Sam Young and Hailey Herdine.
- Stow started the second period with her second goal. An unassisted goal at 3:41.
- Alyson Niebur increased the Falcon lead to three with a goal at 8:20.
- Bethel answered back with two goals in the second period getting them within one goal of the Falcons.
- At the end of the second period, the Falcons led 3-2.
- In the third period, Sam Young scored two goals. Her first came at 9:17 on a pass from Maddie McCollins. She netted her second at 13:30 on a pass from Abigail Stow.
- Bethel was able to add one more goal to their afternoon with an unassisted goal by Kaylyn Forliti.
- Stow finished out the game with her third goal at 17:07.
- The Falcons outshot the Royals 48-13. Abigail Stow finished the day with three goals, two assists and 12 shots on goal for a five-point performance.
- Sami Miller recorded the win with ten saves.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons return to WIAC conference play Friday, January 11, as they travel to UW-Stevens Point to take on the Pointers. The Pointers sit fourth in the conference with a 7-4-3 overall record. Game time is set for 7 p.m. on Friday.
