Men's Track Competes at UW-Stout Open

MENOMONIE, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) The UW-River Falls track teams competed at UW-Stout Open on Saturday.

Track Highlights:

Freshmen Eli Dodge and Joel Alexander competed in the 60 Meter Dash preliminaries and finished with times of 7.24 and 7.68 respectively.
Nate Rismann (FR), Mitchell Lorenz (SO), and Joel Alexander (FR) competed in the 200 Meter Dash, finishing with times of 23.74, 24.71, and 25.22 respectively.
Freshman Dylan Watcher, along with Lorenz, Rismann, and Caleb Venke all competed in the 400 Meter Dash. Watcher finished 5^th overall with a time of 52.58.
Caleb Anton (FR) participated in the 800 Meter Run, finishing with a time of 2:16.92.
Competing in the 1 Mile Run were Sophomores Tyler Northey and Zach Jacoby, finishing with times of 4:58.36 and 5:23.46 respectively.
Northey, Joe Lezotte (SO), and Adam Jacobi (JR) each participated in the 3000 Meter Run.
Senior Alan Hehr, Sophomore Collin Fluno, and Junior Leo Pittsley competed in the 60 Meter Hurdles, finishing with times of 9.27, 11.07, and 11.20 respectively.
The Falcons 4x400 team finished 2^nd overall with a time of 3:37.86. The team consisted of Hehr, Fluno, Lorenz, and Pittsley.

Field Highlights:

Competing in the Pole Vault were Alan Hehr, Justin Hill (SR), and Collin Fluno, with final vaults of 3.10m, 2.80m, and 2.80m respectively.
Joel Alexander finished 9^th overall in the Long Jump with a final jump of 5.86m. Leo Pittsley (5.28m), Hehr (5.15m), Brady Balts (5.08m), and Fluno (4.97m) also participated in the event.
Fluno, Hehr, and Pittsley competed in the Shot Put finishing with final throws of 10.66m, 8.81m, and 8.00m respectively.
Peter Place finished 17^th overall in the Weight Throw, with a final distance of 12.38m.

Looking Ahead:
The Falcons will host the UWRF Winter Classic on Saturday, Feb. 1.
