MANKATO, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) - The UW-River Falls track and field teams competed at the Ted Nelson Classic hosted by Mankato State University. The Falcon women finished 8
th overall in the team standings.
WOMEN'S TRACK HIGHLIGHTS:
- Kimberly Robertson took the top spot in the women's pole vault with a vault of 11'5.75". Her performance puts her 3rd in WIAC standings and 24th in the national rankings.
- Right behind Robertson was Samantha Krueger who had a height of 10'11.75" for a 3rd place finish.
- Two Falcons finished in the top 15 of the women's 60 meter finals. Lexi LeFever finished 8th with a time of 8.07 and Allison Stewart finished 14th with a time of 8.28.
- LeFever finished top twenty in the 200 meter with a time of 26.53 and 12th in the long jump with a distance of 16'7".
- Emmy Farago placed 14th in the 800 meter finals with a time if 2:33.96 and finished 9th in the women's mile with a time if 5:20.97.
MEN'S TRACK HIGHLIGHTS:
- Eli Dodge placed 11th overall in the 60 meter sprint with a time of 7.14. His time was a personal best and a tenth faster than his previous race.
- High jumper Joseph Wananda finished 12th overall in the men's high jump with a height of 5'10.75"
