RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – It was a rough night at Hunt Arena for the UW-River Falls men's hockey team as they fell to No. 2 UW-Eau Claire 1-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-EAU CLAIRE

• The Blugolds led off the first period with a goal at 2:12. They carried the lead into the second period.
• The Blugolds scored three more goals in the second period to take a 4-0 lead.
• Cayden Cahill got the Falcons on the board at 16:18 in the second.  Assisting him on the goal was Nic Herringer and Christian Hausinger. 
• Eau Claire scored a pair of goals in the third period securing the win with a score of 6-1.
• The Falcons had 22 shots on goal and were led by Cahill who had four shots and a goal.
• Zach Quinn had a season high 36 saves in goal.
