RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's hockey team came back with a vengeance Saturday night taking down the Blugolds 3-1 in the final game of the 2020 regular reason.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST UW-EAU CLAIRE
- It was the Blugolds again who stuck first in the top ten matchup scoring at 14:13 in the fist period.
- In the second period the Falcons applied the offensive pressure keeping the puck in their offensive zone. They finally were able to break through with a goal at 6:11. Scoring the goal was Brooke Walters who was assisted by Sam young and Maddie McCollins.
- It looked as though the Blugolds were going to control the third period, but it was Bella Wagner who was able to get the puck in goal in a pileup in front of the goal.
- In the final two minutes of the third period, the Blugolds pulled their goalie for an extra shooter leaving the goal open for Callie Hoff to score at 18:44.
- The Falcons had 25 shots on goal. They were led by Callie Hoff who had seven shots and an unassisted goal.
- Sami Miller stopped 19 of 20 shots.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Falcons host UW-Superior in the semifinals of the WIAC Championships February 28-29. Game times are still to be determined.
