Men's Basketball Defeated in First Round of WIAC Tournament

LA CROSSE, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls men's basketball team was defeated by UW-La Crosse on Tuesday in the first round of the WIAC Championship Tournament.  The Falcons fell to the Eagles 58-80.

WHAT HAPPENED
  • The Falcons made 8-25 (32 percent) field goals in the first half, including 3-8 from behind the arc.  Alex Ohde led the Falcons in the first half with 11 points, shooting 3-3 from the floor and 4-4 from the free throw line. 
  • The Falcons scored 13 points off the bench in the first half, 23 total for the game.
  • UWRF went into halftime trailing 27-36.
  • The Falcons shot 32.3 percent from the field in the second half (10-31), hitting 4-10 from behind the arc (40 percent).
  • Julian Jackson led the Falcons in the second half, scoring 12 on shooting 5-10 from the field.
