Box Score ST. PAUL, Minn. (uwrfsports.com) – The UW-River Falls women's hockey team picked up a nonconference road win against the University of St. Thomas Wednesday night. The falcons defeated the Tommies 4-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ST. THOMAS
- A quiet first period led to a combined three goals in the second.
- The Falcons got on the board first with a Callie Hoff goal at 5:35. Assisting her on the play was Kora Torkelson.
- The Tommies answered back with a power play goal at 12:19 tying the game up 1-1.
- The Falcons took back the lead at 15:09 when Bella Wagner found the back of the net. Torkelson and Jessica Rubenalt assisted her on the goal.
- The Falcons scored two more goals in the third period to give the Falcons a 4-1 win.
- Alyson Niebur scored the first third period goal at 13:06. Alyson Niebur and Abigail Stow assisted her on the goal.
- In the final seconds of the game, Bella Wagner scored her second goal of the night an empty net goal.
- The Falcons outshot the Tommies 34-19.
- Sami Miller had 18 saves on the night.
