RIVER FALLS, Wis. (uwrfsports.com) – The women's lacrosse team dominated at home against Augustana College during Saturday's matchup.

The Falcons jumped to a 7-0 lead over the first 20 minutes of the game.
Josie Johnson scored the first two goals of the game within two minutes of each other, both unassisted.
Emily Herdine and
Gina Jablonski also scored two goals each during the run. Herdine also recorded an assist. The Vikings got on the board around the 6:24 mark, scoring on a free position shot after
Abigail Benson picked up a yellow card for the Falcons. River Falls scored three more goals before the end of the half, while Augustana scored one more, also off a free position shot. The Falcons went into halftime leading 10-2.
River Falls came out fast in the second half, scoring 30 seconds in, on an unassisted goal by
Cassandra Hubble. Hubble scored again two minutes later, assisted by Jablonski. Overall, the Falcons went on a 4-0 run to start the half. The Vikings peppered in two goals roughly midway through the half, and the Falcons finished the game strong scoring three unanswered goals, two unassisted.
Overalls, the Falcons outshot the Vikings 41-11; shots on goal 30-8. River Falls was successful on 9-12 of their clear attempts and picked up 21 ground balls off of 27 Viking turnovers. The Falcons also dominated in draw controls, winning 16 of 23. Seven different players scored for the Falcons on the day. Jablonski and Herdine each scored four goals for the team. Jablonski also recorded two assists. Goalie Ashely Olson picked up the win for the Falcons.
