MADISON, Wis. – (uwrfsports.com) Eight Falcon women's hockey players were named to the 2019-20 All-WIAC Teams.
Hailey Herdine,
Erica Schramel,
Abigail Stow, and
Bella Wagner were named first team All-WIAC.
Callie Hoff and
Sami Miller were named to the honorable mention squad, while senior
Julia Stelljes was named to the All-Sportsmanship team. Freshman
Brooke Walters was named the Newcomer of the Year.
Stow, a sophomore forward from Eau Claire, Wis., leads the team in points (39) and goals (23). She has 105 shots on goal and has assisted on 16 goals. So far this season she has scored four power play goals and six game winning goals. She leads the conference in points, points by a forward and is second in goals. She is ranked third in Division III for goals per game and fourth in points per game. She added two hat tricks to her performance this year.
Senior defender, Herdine leads the conference in points for a defenseman with 27. She has five goals this season and has a team and conference high 22 assists. She is 17
th in the country in assists per game with .78 per game.
Wagner, a senior forward from Zumbrota, Minn., is second on the team in goals scored with 15 and total shots on goal with 101. She has scored three power play goals and three game winning goals. She has scored two of the Falcons three shorthand goals.
Schramel, a senior defenseman from Princeton, Minn., has 15 points this season which ranks her second in the conference for defensemen. She has assisted on ten goals and has scored five herself.
Hoff is second on the team in points with 32. She has scored 12 goals, which ranks her fourth overall in the conference. She has added 20 assists to her resume this year ranking her second in the conference standings. She has one power play goal and one shorthand goal for the Falcons this year.
Sophomore goaltender
Sami Miller has appeared in all 27 games for the Falcons has 464 saves. She is second in the conference in goals against average with 1.33 and shutouts (5). She has a save percentage of .935 and averages 17.19 saves per game.
Freshman
Brooke Walters was named the WIAC Newcomer of the year after scoring eight goals and assisting on seven.
Julia Stelljes was named to the All-Sportsmanship team. The team was chosen for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. It included one member from each school.
