RIVER FALLS, Wisconsin – The UW-River Falls womens volleyball team fell to Hamline University in three sets Wednesday night at Page Arena.
The Falcons had their best hitting performance of the night in set one hitting .216 but it was not enough to hold off the Pipers who took the set 25-14.
In the second set, the Falcons came out strong leading much of the set, but a six-point run by the Pipers tied it up 19-19. The two teams battled back and forth for the remainder of the set with Hamline breaking through with two back-to-back points to win 26-24.
The third set started out similar to the second with the Falcons leading through the majority but the Pipers capitalized late and took the match with a 25-23 win.
Leading the offense was
Katie Koerper with 15 kills.
Kameri Meredith had 14 kills and nine digs.
Brooke Voigt collected 16 digs.
