RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls women's tennis team earned its first win of the 2021 fall season, defeating WIAC foe UW-Oshkosh 5-4 on Saturday afternoon during UWRF homecoming.
The Falcons took a 2-1 lead through doubles play after wins at No. 2 and No. 3 from Budzinski/Reed and Heinert/Gallion.
In singles play, the Titans won at one-through-three, while UWRF's Heinert, Gallion, and Duddeck helped seal the win at four through six singles.Â
"It feels really good to get a win," said head coach
Dan Stumpf. "I knew our doubles win was going to be huge for us. We came back and fought off some adversity and I couldn't be more proud of the team victory today."
