ST. PAUL, Minnesota – The UW-River Falls volleyball picked up their third win in a row shutting out Macalester College 3-0 Wednesday night.
The Falcons hit .250 in the first set and won 25-11. The defense held Macalester to just five kills in the set.
Set two was much closer with the Falcons winning 25-23. Macalester led most of the set, but the Falcons went on with a five-point run to take the set. The third set went in favor of the Falcons and won 25-13.
Overall, the Falcons outhit Macalester .227 to .049. Leading the offense was
Sami Hilley and
Sarah Langlois who each had 10 kills.
Kameri Meredith added eight kills.
The defense was led by
Lauren Shields who had 14 digs.
Brooke Voigt had nine digs and
Katie Koerper had eight,
Sarah Langlois had three blocks.

The Falcons finish out the regular season with a home match against UW-Oshkosh on Friday, October 29. Match time is set for 7 p.m. The Falcons will be honoring their graduating seniors that evening.
