Falcons to play MIAC opponents Augsburg and Hamline

RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls men's basketball team returns to action this week with a pair of non-conference games against Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents, hosting Augsburg University on Wednesday, and traveling to Hamline University on Saturday.

ALL INDIVIDUALS REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS ARE EXPECTED TO WEAR A FACE COVERING INSIDE THE FALCON CENTER.

FALCON NOTES
  • The Falcons had their three-game winning streak snapped, opening the month of December and their WIAC schedule will losses against UW-Stout and No. 4-ranked UW-Platteville.
  • Jeff Berkhof earned his 200th career win as UWRF men's basketball head coach during the Falcons' 83-58 win over Howard Payne University on Nov. 27 in Lincoln, Neb. 
  • UWRF has played three overtime games this season, winning all three. 
  • Senior guard Noah Hanson (Eau Claire, Wis.) is the WIAC leading scorer with 18.9 points per game, paced by his league-best 30 three-point field goals made. Versus Northwestern on Nov. 23, Hanson made seven triples and tallied 34 points, the most by a Falcon since 2016. He was named the WIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
