SUPERIOR, Wis. - The UW-River Falls men's hockey team fell 2-1 during a WIAC matchup Friday evening at UW-Superior.

The Falcons, now 5-3-1 overall and 1-2 during conference play, conceded two third period goals before sophomore Brendan Westbrook scored his first career goal. It was one goal short though as the Yellowjackets closed out the game fending off a Falcon comeback.

After two scoreless periods, UWS opened the scoring at 7:56 of the third stanza, and added another few minutes later - the eventual game-winner.

Westbrook's first career goal came at 13:46, deflecting a Brock Draeger shot on net.

Dysen Skinner suffered the loss in net, his first of the season.

UW-River Falls returns to Hunt Arena tomorrow night to host UW-Eau Claire.
