After a slow start in the first quarter where they were outscored 23-8, the Falcons of UW-River Falls were unable to mount a comeback on the road at UW-La Crosse, dropping the contest 69-49.
It was the offense that betrayed the Falcons early, with the team allowing the Eagles to go on a 16-1 run in the first quarter. UW-River Falls went on a 9-0 run themselves to cut the lead to 28-19 with 4:50 left in the second quarter, but ultimately found themselves trailing 39-25 at the break.
The second half was much of the same with both teams trading baskets throughout, and the game never got closer than 13. In the 69-49 loss, UW-River Falls shot 27.1% from the field, 19.4% from three-point range, and 31.3% at the line. Jenna Zeman and Colie Justice both had 10 points to lead the Falcons,
