Box Score Starting the season much later than usual due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UW- River Falls women's hockey team showed no rust at all as they soared to an 13-0 win over the Lumber Jills of Northland College.
The Falcons jumped to a huge lead during the first period, out shooting Northland 30 to eight, punching in six of those shots for goals..

Callie Hoff all got in on the scoring action in the 1
st for the Falcons, which proved to be more than enough for the win.
The Falcons dominance continued in the second period, lighting up the lamp another six times..
Alex Hantge was the first Falcon to score in the 2
nd period scoring at 00:54 with assists going to Torkelson and Hoff. Hantge was then followed by five other goals in the 2
nd by Hoff,
Sam Young, McCollins, Springman, and Abrey Nelvin.
With a large lead in hand, the Falcons cruised in the third period, seeing a lot of action from the rest of the bench. Brealyn Sathers scored her first career goal with an assist coming from
Kiana Gilbraith.
The Falcons' next game is Friday Feb, 5
th when they will head to Northland College to play the Lumber Jills again.
