Falcons Fall During Road Contest at Gustavus

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-River Falls women's soccer team fell 1-0 at Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday afternoon.

The Falcons, now 1-4 overall, totaled nine shots on the day with seven on target while the Gusites held UWRF to a shutout.

After a scoreless first half, Gustavus scored the game-winner at the 55th minute. 

UWRF doubled its shot total from the first half in the second, totaling six shots, but were unable to get past the Gustavus goalkeeper Abby Goodno. 

The Falcons and Gusties each had three corner kick opportunities in the second half. Alayna Westerman and Madyson Shew each had a pair of shots on goal.

Kaylie Krueger suffered the loss despite recording a season-high 10 saves in net.
