RIPON, Wisconsin – The UW-River Falls women's volleyball team went 2-0 opening night of the Ripon College Invitational defeating Concordia-Chicago 25-18, 24-26, 23-25, 25-14, 15-12 and host of the invite Ripon College 25-22, 25-15, 25-20.

The Falcons came out of the gates taking set one 25-18 after controlling the lead most of the set.
After two close sets in the second and third, the Falcon offense came to life in the fourth set dominating Concordia-Chicago .409 to -.250. The defense was on fire as well only allowing two kills to happen in the set.
In the fifth set, the Cougars took the lead before the Falcons went on a five-point run to pull ahead 8-6. The two teams battled back and forth, tying the game up four times until the Falcons came out on top 15-12 after two kills by
Katie Koerper and a block solo by
Sarah Langlois.
Three Falcons had double digit kills in the match.
Sami Hilley had a game high 16 kills and hit .542. Right behind her was
Katie Koerper with 15 kills and
Kameri Meredith with 12. Meredith also had 20 digs to complete the double double.
Brooke Voigt had a season high 41 digs. Langlois aided in the defense with eight blocks and 11 digs.
UWRF 3, Ripon College 0
The Falcons shut out the Redhawks 3-0 in match two of the night. They out hit Ripon .219 to .062 and collected 33 kills.
The Falcons best set came in the second when they hit .333 and outscored the Redhawks 25-15.
Katie Koerper was the leading offensive player with 10 kills.
Sami Hilley hit .600 and was errorless in her attack.
Haley Cuba had 27 assists and eight digs.
Brooke Voigt again led the defense with 29 digs.
