RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-River Falls women's soccer team dropped a nonconference contest Wednesday at Ramer Soccer Stadium, falling 1-0 versus Macalester College.
The visiting Scots finished with an 18-4 shot advantage and scored the game-winner at the 83rd minute. A well-centered free kick hit traffic in the box and was finished by Macalester's leading scorer Julia Kispert.
UWRF was limited to one shot in the first half while fending away nine Macalester shots, including five saves from Falcon goalkeeper
Kaylie Krueger.
In the second half, the Falcons had more chances but couldn't capitalize on three shots and a pair of corner kicks.
Krueger suffered the loss in net despite notching a season-high with seven saves.
Gretchen Hanson led UWRF with two shots.

The Falcons, now 1-3 overall, have a pair of games this weekend, traveling to Saint Peter, Minn., on Saturday, Sept. 11 to face Gustavus Adolphus College prior to returning home to host Northland College on Sunday, Sept. 12.
