Falcons set for WIAC Women's Tennis Championship

RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls women's tennis team closes out its 2022 fall schedule this weekend, Oct. 22-23 at the WIAC Championship at Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison, Wis.

Competition begins at 1 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday.

The 51st gathering of league teams will be hosted by UW-La Crosse and decide three sets of doubles winners, along with six singles champions, with competition beginning on Saturday. UW-Whitewater is the reigning 15-time consecutive team champions.

The team title will be determined by using a combination of the regular-season dual-meet standings and the WIAC championship results. The finish in the regular-season standings accounts for one-third of the criteria, while the conference championship accounts for the remaining two-thirds.

UWRF went 1-5 during the 2022 conference schedule to finish sixth in the WIAC dual-meet standings.
