FALCON NOTES

UWRF is coming off a 13-13-1 season, finishing second in the WIAC standings with a 9-6 record. The Falcons fell in the WIAC Semifinals to UW-Eau Claire, who went on to win the WIAC Commissioner's Cup.
UWRF was picked to finish third in the 2022-23 WIAC Preseason Poll, as voted on by league head coaches and sports information directors. The Falcons also received 15 votes in the USCHO Division III Preseason Poll.
The Falcons return a trio of 2021-22 All-WIAC honorees; Noah Ganske, Noah Roofe, and Dysen Skinner.
Noah Ganske was last year's top-scoring defender during WIAC play, headlined by a hat-trick during a 4-3 win over UW-Superior (2/4/22), en route to garnering WIAC Player of the Week laurels.
UWRF also returns the 2021 WIAC Newcomer of the Year, Vilho Saariluoma, who missed a portion of the last season due to injury. He's tallied 26 points off nine goals and 17 assists in 24 career games.
