RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-River Falls volleyball team suffered another top 25 loss falling to No. 16 UW-Stevens Point in three sets (16-25, 14-25, 18-25) Wednesday night at Page Arena.
The Falcons, who are now 14-7 on the season and 0-4 in WIAC play, held the Pointers to just a .169 hitting percentage and their lowest kill total this season with 35.
The third set was the strongest for UWRF as they hit double digit kills. The Falcons stayed within two points of the Pointers a majority of the set before UWSP pulled away with a 8-2 point run.
Leading scorer for the Falcons was
Kameri Meredith with eight kills. She added 10 digs to her performance.
Brenna Olson led the defense with 16 digs.
The Falcons have a full weekend ahead of them traveling to the Rockford University Triangular Friday before going to the North Central College Tournament Saturday.
