Eight Players Score in Women's Hockey Win

ASHLAND, Wis. – The No. 6-ranked UW-River Falls women's hockey team shut out Northland College 8-0 Saturday afternoon.
 
Eight different Falcons scored in the matchup.  Kailey Niccum and Maddie McCollins both scored in the first period giving the Falcons a 2-0 lead going into the first period break.
 
Makenna Aure and Challis Prohaska each found the back of the net in the second period extending the score to 4-0. 
 
In the final period, the Falcons scored four additional goals.  Bailey Olson scored at 2:14 and a minute later Brooke Lemke scored taking the Falcon lead to 6-0.  Katherine Bell found the back of the net on a pass from Kenzie Dunn and Emma Schmitz finished out the game with a power play goal. 

The Falcons collected 76 total shots on goal.  Alex Hantge accounted for nine and Bailey Olson and Maddie McCollins each had eight.  Bailey Olson led the team in assists with three.

Jordan O'Kane earned her first collegiate win in net, making five saves.

The Falcons, who are now 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in WIAC play, travel to St. Scholastica on Tuesday November 15 for a non-conference matchup.
