Saturday's game marks the 91st all-time meeting between UW-River Falls and UW-Eau Claire, with the Falcons holding a 63-16-11 series advantage.
The two teams most recently met during last year's WIAC O'Brien Cup Championship, with the Falcons prevailing by a score of 6-3 at Hunt Arena.

UWRF remained ranked No. 6 in this week's USCHO Division III Women's Hockey Poll, garnering 195 points.
The Falcons were picked to finish first in the WIAC Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.
UWRF is coming off a 5-1 win at the College of St. Scholastica on Tuesday in Duluth, Minn., the Falcons' fourth consecutive win. Four different Falcons found the back of the net: Bailey Olson, Megan Goodreau, Maddie McCollins, and Alex Hantge. Aubrey Nelvin and Abigail Stow each had two assists, and Sami Miller made 27 saves to earn the win in net.
