THE SERIES

This weekend's matchups mark the eighth and ninth all-time matchups between UW-River Falls and Concordia University Wisconsin, with UWRF holding a 5-2 series lead.
The two teams last met in 2018, a 5-0 UWRF victory at Hunt Arena.

FALCON NOTES

UWRF was picked to finish third in the 2022-23 WIAC Preseason Poll, as voted on by league head coaches and sports information directors. The Falcons also received 15 votes in the USCHO Division III Preseason Poll.
The Falcons are coming off a 1-1 opening weekend Oct. 28-29 at Hunt Arena, defeating Hamline 4-0 prior to a 3-1 loss against Saint John's.
- Sam Anzai, Gibb Coady, and Vilho Saariluoma each had a goal and an assist through the first two games.
- Goaltender Dysen Skinner started in both games last weekend, recording a .953 save percentage. He made 17 saves against Hamline to earn his third career shutout.
- UWRF out-shot Hamline and Saint John's 61-44 last weekend, and went 1-for-6 on the power play.
