LeFever earns fifth place long jump at NCAA Outdoor Championships

GENEVA, Ohio – The UW-River Falls women's track & field team was represented by Lexi LeFever at the opening day of the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Championships at the SPIRE Institute. LeFever achieved All-America status with a fifth place mark in the women's long jump.

Competing in her third career NCAA Championship meet, LeFever (Jr., Hudson, Wis.) is bringing home her third consecutive All-America honor. Her mark of 18 feet, 10.5 inches (5.87 meters) was good for fifth of 22 competitors. 

Victoria Kadiri of Johns Hopkins was the National Champion with a mark of 6.03 meters.

LeFever, a three-time WIAC long jump Champion, is now a three-time All-American in the long jump. She was last year's outdoor National runner-up, leaping 18' 11.75" and took third during the 2022 national indoor meet at 18' 11.75".
