STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-River Falls volleyball team fell 2-3 (25-20, 16-25, 25-17, 16-25, and 11-15) against Concordia Wisconsin on day two of the UW-Stevens Point Invitational.
The Falcons were held to a .119 hitting percentage compared to Concordia's .261. The Falcons best set came in the third where they hit .270 and recorded 15 kills.
Sami Hilley led the Falcon attack with sixteen kills, a season high for the junior middle.
Brooke Voigt totaled a team high 22 digs.
Kameri Meredith continued her dominating performance with her third double double of the weekend recording 15 kills and 18 digs.
UWRF took an early lead in the match taking set one start to finish. Concordia answered back with a similar performance holding the Falcons to just a .048 hitting percentage. The Falcons built some momentum in the third set, but it was not enough as Concordia took the last two sets for the win.
Hilley and Meredith were named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Falcons, who are now 13-5 on the season, head to Hamline University for a midweek nonconference matchup.
