No. 17 Falcons to host Pointers during Homecoming

LAST TIME OUT
  • The Falcons won 63-27 over the University of Northwestern on Sept. 17, during the 2022 homer opener at Ramer Field.
  • UWRF totaled 643 yards of total offense, 392 on the ground and 251 through the air. The Falcon defense limited Northwestern to -20 rushing yards.
  • Kaleb Blaha (So., Coon Rapids, Minn.) combined for five touchdowns, including three passing touchdowns to Mason Van Zeeland (So., Kaukauna, Wis.).

  • Saturday's matchup will mark the 80th all-time meeting between UW-River Falls and UW-Stevens Point, with the Falcons holding a 41-35-3 series advantage.

  • Nationally, the Falcons also own the top rushing defense, holding their opponents to an average of 22.3 rushing yards per game.
  • Kaleb Blaha leads the WIAC in total offense, averaging 305.3 yards per game (20th/NCAA). He is the second leading rusher in the WIAC (94.7 yds per game) and is tied for the lead with eight passing touchdowns.
  • Running back Michael Krueger (So., River Falls, Wis.) is tied for the WIAC scoring lead with five total touchdowns. He rushed for the first three of his career in the season opener at Elmhurst University.
  • Sophomore linebacker Andrew Schumacher (Andover, Minn.) leads the WIAC and ranks among the top-25 nationally with three pass breakups and two interceptions.
