ST. PAUL, Minn. – The UW-River Falls volleyball team swept a pair of opponents on Saturday during day two of the Macalester Invite, improving to 4-0 on the season.
UW-River Falls 3, Crown 0
The Falcons swept the Polars with 33 kills along with 13 aces, limiting Crown to a -.167 hitting percentage while forcing 25 errors.
UWRF won 25-18, 25-6, and 25-17 and compiled a .182 attacking rate. Kameri Meredith led the attack with six kills and Brooke Voigt led the defense with 13 digs.
UW-River Falls 3, Carleton 0
The Falcons closed out the weekend on a good note, sweeping the Knights during their final match of the Macalester Invite with a weekend-best .379 hitting percentage.
UWRF won 25-21, 25-16, and 25-15, totaling 45 kills compared to Carleton's 29.
Meredith led the Falcons with 13 kills and three aces, while Grace Boles totaled 20 assists.
Sami Hilley and Kameri Meredith were named to the All-Tournament Team.
UWRF is back in action next Wednesday, Sept. 7 for the home opener against Carleton. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. from Page Arena.
