SENIOR DAY
  • On Saturday, the 2022-23 senior class of Sam Miller, Jessica Rubenalt, and Abigail Stow will be recognized for their contribution to UWRF.

  • UWRF jumped forward to No. 1 in this week's USCHO Division III Poll after five consecutive weeks at No. 2. 
  • The Falcons were picked to finish first in the WIAC Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.
GOODREAU NAMED WIAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
  • Freshman forward Megan Goodreau totaled seven points during two wins over UW-Superior last week with five goals and two assists. She scored a natural hat-trick on Saturday, Jan. 21 in Superior, Wis.
  • The Falcons have earned the WIAC weekly honor seven times this season, with Goodreau following Alex Hantge (Jan. 6-15), Sami Miller (Dec. 5-11), Maddie McCollins (Nov. 21-27 & Oct. 31-Nov. 6)), Aubrey Nelvin (Nov. 14-20), and MaKenna Aure (Nov. 7-13).
MILLER BECOMES UWRF ALL-TIME SHUTOUTS LEADER
  • Fifth-year senior goaltender Sami Miller earned her 16th career shutout during a 4-0 win over UW-Stevens Point on Nov. 11 at Hunt Arena, passing former All-American Angie Hall, who totaled 15 shutouts from 2014-18.
FALCON NOTES
  • UWRF collected two wins over UW-Superior last week to extend its winning streak to eight games, outscoring the Yellowjackets 21-1 with 12-1 and 9-0 victories.
    • Through two games, six separate Falcons had at least two goals, paced by Goodreau's five.
    • Maddie McCollins totaled 10 points with four goals and six assists while Abigail Stow had three goals and three assists.
  • UWRF ranks among the top-five in Division III in scoring offense, averaging 5.0 goals per game.
    • The Falcons have seven players inside of the top-10 scoring leaders in the WIAC, led by Maddie McCollins' 26 points off 14 goals and 12 assists.
  • Senior goaltender Sami Miller leads the WIAC with a 1.2 goals against average and 0.942 save percentage, and ranks second nationally with a 0.917 winning percentage with an 11-1 record.
