SUPERIOR, Wis. – The UW-River Falls men's hockey team suffered a 1-2 overtime loss Saturday night against UW-Superior.
Each team scored a power play goal during regulation time. Superior scored first at 6:22 in the first period. The Falcons were down a player after
Valentino Passarelli was called for body checking.
Dylan Smith tied the game up 1-1 at 18:28 in the second period. Assisting him on the goal was
Noah Ganske and
Noah Roofe.
A scoreless third period led to a sudden death overtime. Sixteen seconds into the overtime period, CJ Walker scored a goal to give the Yellowjackets the win.
The Falcons outshot Superior 29-24. Dyson Skinner collected 22 saves,
UWRF hosts UW-Eau Claire in a two-night series starting Friday February 3
