Women's Hockey Scores 14 in Win Over Northland

RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The No. 4-ranked UW-River Falls women's hockey team scored a program high 14 goals in a 14-1 win over Northland College Saturday afternoon. 

The Falcons got on the board first scoring an opening goal forty seconds into the game. Katherine Bell's lone goal would be the only one of the first period.

The second period was a night and difference from the first with the Falcons scoring 10 goals total on 34 shots on goal.  Seven different Falcons found the back of the net. Alex Hantge, Makenna Kadrlik, and MaKenna Aure each had a pair of goals.  Maddie McCollins, Ellie Brice, Aubrey Nelvin each had single goals.

UWRF scored three more goals in the third period.  The LumberJills were able to score a lone goal in the third period.

Four Falcons finished the night with multi-goal performances. Katherine Bell scored three for her first collegiate hat trick.  MaKenna Aure had five total points with two goals and three assists.  UWRF outshot Northland 78-6.

Jordan O'Kane collected her first win of the season in goal.  She had five saves and gave up one goal in the final period. 

UWRF, who is now 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the WIAC, travel to WIAC rival UW-Eau Claire on Nov. 18.
