No. 4 Falcons open WIAC schedule against UWSP & Northland

The No. 4-ranked UW-River Falls women's hockey team opens its 2023-24 WIAC schedule this week, traveling to face the Pointers of UW-Stevens Point, then returning home to host the Lumberjills of Northland College.

Falcon Notes 
  • The Falcons are off to a 4-0 start through the first two weeks of play. 
    • Sophomores MaKenna Aure and Megan Goodreau lead the Falcons with seven points each, while senior Alex Hantge leads the team with four goals.
    • UWRF have outscored their opponents 19-3, and out-shot their opponents 170-82 through the first four games. 
    • Senior goaltender Jordan O'Connor has started all four games in net for the Falcons, collecting four wins. She has a .963 save percentage and collected her seventh career shutout at Saint Ben's en route to receiving WIAC Player of the Week honors.
  • The Falcons are currently ranked fourth in the USCHO Poll.
