MENOMONIE, Wis. – The UW-River Falls women's basketball team fell 70-55 at UW-Stout Wednesday evening.
The Falcons' record dips to 13-8 overall and 3-7 in the WIAC, while the Blue Devils improve to 15-6 overall and 7-3 in the WIAC.
Stout held UWRF to a 5-of-24 mark from beyond the arc while shooting strong from long-range at just under 40 percent. Raegan Sorensen led the Blue Devils with five three-pointers, totaling 19 points.
While the Falcons had a much improved second half, they were unable to overcome a 16-point halftime deficit. UWRF outscored the home team 16-13 in the third quarter but were unable to cut into the Blue Devil lead enough to rally.
Three Falcons scored in double figures, led by 19 points from
Macy Nilsen.
Olivia Miron followed with 14 points off a 7-of-7 shooting effort along with a team-high seven rebounds.
Kameri Meredith added 10.
UWRF remains on the road to face UW-Oshkosh on Saturday.
