2023 WIAC PLAYOFFS/COMMISSIONER'S CUP

• Starting this season, the winner of the WIAC Tournament receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
• UWRF finished 17 points in the WIAC standings and received the No. 5 seed for the postseason tournament, and faces No. 4 UW-Stout on the road.
  • Since the inception of the WIAC Commissioner's Cup in 2014, the Falcons hold a 7-15-2 playoff record, and fell to UW-Eau Claire last year in the semifinals.
  • UWRF won the Commissioner's Cup in 2015, advancing to the championship game with wins over UW-Eau Claire in the semifinals, and defeating UW-Stevens Point 3-1 in the title game.

FALCON FIRST-YEAR TALENT

• The 2022-23 Falcon freshman class has accounted for nearly 40% of UWRF's team scoring and over half of the team's goals scored.
  • Freshman forward Dylan Smith is UWRF's leading scorer with 17 points off seven goals and 10 assists.
  • Burke Simpson and Connor McGrath trail with 14 and 13 points, respectively. McGrath leads the team with four power play goals.

FALCON NOTES

• UWRF wrapped up its regular season on a four-game winning streak, earning weekend sweeps over UW-Eau Claire and Northland.
  • Last weekend versus Northland, the Falcons outscored the Lumberjacks 9-2 with 4-1 and 5-1 victories.
  • Noah Roofe scored the game-winner on Friday and totaled five points in two games en route to earning UWRF Male Falcon of the Week.
  • Dysen Skinner made 31 saves and registered a 0.939 save percentage.
• Skinner ranks third in the WIAC with a 1.87 goals against average and ranks second with four shutouts.
