THE SERIES
- Saturday's game marks the 48th all-time meeting between the Falcons and Gusties, with Gustauvs holding a 26-17-4 series advantage.
- The two teams met three times during the 2022-23 regular season, with UWRF winning two of three. Most recently, the Falcons won 2-1 in overtime on Jan. 31 in River Falls, as Abigail Stow scored with 5.5 seconds left in OT.
- The Falcons and Gusties have met eight times in the NCAA Tournament, with Gustavus winning six. Last season, Gustavus won 5-3 at Hunt Arena.
NCAA TOURNAMENT HISTORY
- The Falcons will be making their 14th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history, earning an at-large bid after winning both the 2022-23 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) regular season and tournament titles.Â
- UWRF has reached the 'Frozen Four' five times (2003, 2009, 2014, 2015, 2016), including a pair of third-place finishes and a national runner-up finish in 2016.

RECORD BREAKERS
- With her 28th goal of the season last Saturday versus UWEC, senior forward Maddie McCollins became UWRF's single-season goal-scoring leader, breaking Dani Sibley's total of 27 during the 2016-17 season, the year in which she won the AHCA Player of the Year.
- Senior forward Abigail Stow recorded her 101st career assist last Saturday versus UWEC, becoming the UWRF all-time leader in assists, passing former teammate and last year's AHCA Player of the Year, Callie Hoff. Stow also ranks second on the UWRF all-time scoring list behind Hoff with 175 points in 121 games played.
- Senior goaltender Sami Miller became UWRF's all-time shutouts leader with her 16th career shutout during a 4-0 win over UW-Stevens Point on Nov. 11 at Hunt Arena, passing former All-American Angie Hall, who totaled 15 shutouts from 2014-18. She currently has 17 career shutouts.
FALCON NOTES
- UWRF is coming off a 5-1 win over UW-Eau Claire to capture the program's fourth consecutive and eighth WIAC O'Brien Cup title.
- The Falcons own the top scoring offense in NCAA Division III, averaging 5.7 goals per game with 432 total team points, (159 goals, 273 assists), and a 34.8 power-play percentage (31-for-89).
- Goaltender Sami Miller owns a 15-1-1 record with a pair of shutouts and leads the nation with a 0.912 winning percentage.
- Maddie McCollins is UWRF's leading scorer with 48 points (28g-20a), and ranks third nationally with 1.7 points per game.
- Alex Hantge leads the team with 29 assists, ranking third in DIII with 1.04 assists per game.
