RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-River Falls volleyball team swept Simpson College 3-0 Friday evening during its home opener and its first game hosting the Falcon Invite.
The Falcons improve to 4-1 overall with their fourth win in a row, recording a .309 hitting percentage with 25-17, 25-11, 25-15 set wins.
UWRF totaled 41 kills to Simpson's 20 along with a season-high 10 service aces.
During set two, the Falcons notched an impressive .467 hitting percentage, conceding just one error with 15 kills and leading by as many as 23-9.
Five different Falcons totaled at least seven kills, led by nine each from
Kameri Meredith and
Lauren Noth.
Grace Boles had a team-high 27 assists while
Brenna Olson led the defense with 16 digs.
Sami Hilley,
Kate Seymour, and
Katelyn Nichols each had seven kills and hitting percentages of at least .500.
Tomorrow, the Falcons are set to face the College of Saint Benedict and St. Olaf College.
